Based in the twin cities of Albury-Wodonga, which straddle the Murray River on the border of Victoria and New South Wales, is put together by an independent, experienced and enthusiastic team which has been writing about all things motoring - internationally, nationally, and locally - and the best North-East Victoria and the Southern Riverina has to offer, for nearly 60 years.

Darryl Starr

. . . is a veteran of the newspaper industry, having worked for 51 years at the Border Mail in Albury-Wodonga.

His newspaper experience includes proof-reading and newspaper layout, he was the national advertising manager and also feature writer.

He was the newspaper's motoring editor for 48 years and for 15 years he also wrote for Out & About and Domain, the paper's tourist and real estate supplements.

Darryl is also an author, having written 'A spirit of progress, 110 years of motoring in Albury-Wodonga' and 'Are we there yet, Mr Holmes?'

He also has organisational and promotion skills as well as web layout and design experience.

In 2024 he celebrates 57 years as a motoring writer.

Experienced motoring journalists Bill Buys, Ian Crawford, Chris Riley, Liz Swanton and Barry Green are regular contributors.

Interstate rail services are provided by V/Line and NSW Trainlink, coach services by Greyhound and Firefly, and airlines flying into Albury Airport are Qantaslink, Regional Express (REX), and Virgin. City services include taxis, hire cars, and local bus operators.

Major highways and roads into and out of Albury-Wodonga are the Hume Highway/Hume Freeway, Olympic Highway, Kiewa Valley Highway, Murray Valley Highway, Riverina Highway and Urana Road.
