Darryl Starr
. . . is a veteran of the newspaper industry, having worked for 51 years at the Border Mail in Albury-Wodonga.
​
His newspaper experience includes proof-reading and newspaper layout, he was the national advertising manager and also feature writer.
​
He was the newspaper's motoring editor for 48 years and for 15 years he also wrote for Out & About and Domain, the paper's tourist and real estate supplements.
​
Darryl is also an author, having written 'A spirit of progress, 110 years of motoring in Albury-Wodonga' and 'Are we there yet, Mr Holmes?'
​
He also has organisational and promotion skills as well as web layout and design experience.
​
In 2024 he celebrates 57 years as a motoring writer.
​
Experienced motoring journalists Bill Buys, Ian Crawford, Chris Riley, Liz Swanton and Barry Green are regular contributors.
