VOLKSWAGEN customers can now configure and purchase their new vehicles from their comfort of their couches.
All new Volkswagens from the Polo city car to the Crafter commercial vehicle are included in the new online purchase process.
When the car is configured to personal requirements and the $500 deposit put down, the designated dealer makes contact within 48 hours to complete the purchase and manage delivery.
"This enables customers freedom to purchase anytime while continuing to support our dealer network, which remains our brand's frontline and continues to do a great job even in these unprecedented circumstances," Volkswagen Director Customer Experience & Marketing Jason Bradshaw said.
The registration of their current vehicle to receive an online trading valuation, which gives the likely value range of the vehicle subject to dealer inspection.
All new Volkswagens come with five year factory warranty and a choice of service packs.
This month sees the release of the T-Cross, Volkswagen's first compact SUV of this type. The T-Roc has been available for online order since January.
THE new generation Mazda3 has been named 2020 World Car Design of the Year in the world’s most prestigious automotive awards, the World Car Awards.
It’s the second time a Mazda has claimed the award, following the Mazda MX-5 winning that category and the main Car of the Year award in 2016.
Mazda3 was also a top three finalist for 2020 World Car of the Year, alongside stablemate Mazda CX-30.

The first Skoda SUV to bear the RS name, the Kodiaq RS is powered by a potent 176kW/500Nm 2-litre bi-turbo diesel engine capable of 0-100km/h in seven seconds.
The biturbo engine is the most powerful diesel in Skoda’s line-up, a comfortable 36kW/100Nm clear of the 140TDI.
In 2018, German race driver and Nurburgring, 24 Hours winner, Sabine Schmidt, lapped the world famous Nordschleife in the Kodiaq RS, setting a new seven-seat SUV record of 9m 29.84sec.
Key highlights of the sporty model are 20-inch 'Xtreme' alloy wheels accented by red brake calipers, blacked-out mirrors, roof rails and grille with RS badging, premium leather interior with RS logo stitched in the front seat headrests, and Skoda’s high definition digital cockpit.
The fiery Kodiaq RS seven-seat large SUV is priced from $65,990 plus on-road costs.

HYUNDAI has launched Hyundai C A R E, a warranty extension policy for its vehicles worldwide.
The program aims to support Hyundai customers who may face difficulties in getting vehicle repairs due to restricted access to service centres during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hyundai C A R E ensures that all Hyundai passenger vehicles with original warranties that expire between 1st March 2020 and 30th May 2020, will benefit from a warranty extension until 31st May 2020.
More than 1.21 million Hyundai vehicles in 175 countries will be eligible for the Hyundai C A R E warranty extension, including approximately 27,000 vehicles in Australia.
Hyundai’s decision comes amid a global reaction to the outbreak of COVID-19, which has caused many countries to take various precautionary measures that include closing non-essential facilities.
The well-being of Hyundai customers and employees is a high priority at the company, which is closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and complying with measures in local markets to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.

PEUGEOT Australia has announced its revised 308 range for 2020, featuring an all-new petrol drivetrain of its existing 308 Touring Sportswagon, and a sharp nationwide recommended driveaway pricing structure.
Joining the line-up is the new 308 GT-Line, the first time the nomenclature has been used for 308 in Australia.
Reflecting Australia's taste for sporty looks, the 308 GT-Line leverages the visual muscle of the GT and GTi variants, while benefitting from Peugeot's PureTech turbo-petrol drivetrain.
It is priced from $36,490.
Joining the 308 GT-Line is the 308 Allure Touring Sportswagon repowered in petrol (priced from $33,490 driveaway) and the Allure hatch, carrying a driveaway price of $31,490.
As a result of the sharper pricing, the Diesel 308 Touring Sportswagon and 308 Active hatch have been discontinued.
Peugeot Sport's 308 GT has been dropped due to tightening emissions standards as well.
All models retain Peugeot's 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty with roadside assist and Peugeot Price Promise servicing.

VOLKSWAGEN Australia has introduced a new special edition Caddy Maxi Van targeted at city-based business customers – the Caddy Urban Edition.
